When principal and creative director, Steve Tolleson, travelled to Germany to collaborate on Gmund’s product plans, it marked the beginning of a two-year endeavor to define the perfect color palette within a single paper collection. With the launch of Gmund Colors, the new system shifts the industry’s view on color and design.
At 48 colors, offered in four surface options, the Gmund Colors palette ensures that any color combination, regardless of finish, works together seamlessly.
Four hero portraits were created for the swatchbook system, each an expression of the four surface finishes.
Swatchbook inserts were designed in their respective finishes to inspire as well as demonstrate the range of creative print techniques possible on each surface.
The flagship product launched internationally with a series of events in Munich, Milan and Tokyo.
